Tet holiday of the people of La Chi Every year on the occasion of the 7th lunar month, when the farming is less busy, the La Chi people organize the Tet holiday to express their gratitude to their grandparents and ancestors, who have publicly painted the jelly and bridge for the village of the family to be happy and happy, for corn to corn, giving rice and fluffy rice. Te Te is the biggest traditional Tet holiday of the year of the La Chi people organized by the lineage and the village The La Chi people live mainly in Si Man and Hoang Su Phu districts, Ha Giang province, and Bac Ha district of Lao Cai province. In one year, the La Chi people have 4 Tet holidays including: The rice cultivation is held in March or May, the New Year of the New Year held in September, the New Year's import Tet held in November and the New Year of the Cu Te - the biggest Tet holiday in the year of the year of the lunar calendar. The Cu Te area means the July New Year ("area" means worship, "Cu" means alcohol; "Te" means us, also means seven) Tet is also known as the Tet Cu Cu Te. Time to organize the Tet holiday is decided by the village elderly council, the head of the village, but not more than 15 days, if any year has leaps in April, the people will eat the Tet area in the sixth lunar month. The nominated person to preside over the worshiping ceremony must be married and have children, happy families, do not violate the law and the laws of the community, be prestigious in the community, in the house without weak people, the family is quite good. The Luo people think "why is it so sound". When people die, to the afterlife still have to work, live as in the world, so people live offer sticky rice so that their ancestors can have grown rice, worship chickens, fish and pigs so that their ancestors can have more poultry.  The indispensable items in La Chi's offerings include: Buffalo, buffalo horn and ginger. Alcohol is made by families made of sticky rice with sticky rice with natural leaves, so the wine has a cool sweetness, not spicy "the old people are invited to drink sweet wine, if they drink spicy wine, they are angry." Buffalo horn used as a cup of wine to the soul of the deceased. The horn is only taken from healthy buffaloes, not sick or falling into the pit, not taken from buffaloes used in funeral. Buffalo horns are washed and then exposed to the sun, shortened to the end of the horn and drilled a hole at the pointed part of the horn, a rope to hang. Buffalo horns are hung with a basket and a ginger in the church of the house. Ginger is considered a connection between people and the supernatural world in worshiping ceremonies. When performing the ceremony, the priest will tie ginger into a thread, then look in the direction of the movement of ginger root to guess whether the souls of the deceased have come home or not.  "When the ancestors came back, they would swing in the direction of backwards, when they came back to the door to open the door, the ginger would shake quickly, and then return to the tray. When the souls have returned, they will embody the priest and the maids for the priest to eat sticky rice, drink wine. At this time, the priest will tell the souls: "Please stay in Tet with your children and grandchildren, bless your children and grandchildren health, do good luck, lush trees, bumper crops". In particular, in the tray of the La Chi people must have a mouse. "The mouse ate his rice and crops, so he had to catch it back to the ancestor to consider it, so that it no longer harmed the crops of the people," said Vuong Duc Thanh. In the beliefs of the La Chi, they worship 3 generations with men and 2 generations for women. "The soul of the deceased is that men will be invited to wine with buffalo horn, and the soul of women invited wine with bowls" The La Chi people's Tet area is an opportunity for people in the lineage and the community everywhere to meet and reunite with each other, commemorating the ancestors who have publicly painted the jelly and pray for a new year of a bumper crop, a prosperous family, and a happy village. Tet Cu Te has reflected honestly and fully the cultural elements of ancestor worship and typical beliefs of agricultural production. When the ceremony ends, people will be happy together with the reunion, they wish each other good wishes. Then they went out together, joined together in the singing lyrics to review the legends of their people, play folk games together such as pushing sticks, swinging, walking stilts, throwing, singing ...
