Beyond its renowned ecological and historical sites, Tay Ninh stands out as a premier destination in the Southeast region thanks to its unique spiritual and cultural tourism offerings. Every New Year, Ba Den Mountain buzzes with visitors flocking to its spring festival, offering prayers for peace and prosperity.
Ba Den Mountain – The Legend of Linh Son Thanh Mau
Tay Ninh is considered a land of faith that every traveler should visit at least once. Ba Den Mountain draws Buddhists from all directions with its sacred legends of Linh Son Thanh Mau. The mountain, home to the 300-year-old Ba Pagoda complex, is intimately linked to Linh Son Thanh Mau, revered by the local people, and is seen as the spiritual heart of this region.

Known as the highest mountain in the Southeast region, Ba Den boasts a diverse array of spiritual sites, including pagodas, hermitages, caves, and temples.
Nestled amidst fertile plains and often shrouded in white clouds year-round, Ba Den Mountain is easily recognizable even for first-time visitors to Tay Ninh. It comprises three peaks: Ba Mountain, Phung Mountain, and Heo Mountain, with Ba Mountain being the tallest, marked by a 986m summit – often called the 'Roof of Southern Vietnam.' The Ba Pagoda complex is situated halfway up this mountain. Among its prominent features are Ba Den Pagoda (Linh Son Tien Thach Tu), also known as Chua Thuong, and Dien Ba, which houses a bronze statue of Ba Den.
More than just a symbol of conquest, this is also considered one of the most sacred lands in Southern Vietnam. Annually, the Ba Den Mountain Spring Festival or Ba's Veneration Ceremony attracts millions of visitors.
Previously, exploring Ba Den Mountain involved a challenging, dangerous, and time-consuming trek through dense forest. However, with the new cable car system launched by Sun World BaDen Mountain in early 2020, along with the unique experiences offered by this tourist area, anyone can now conquer Ba Mountain, pay respects to Ba, and participate in exciting activities at this legendary frontier land, which serves as a spiritual pillar for the people of Southern Vietnam.
Thien Lam Pagoda
Located in Long Thanh Trung Commune, Hoa Thanh District, with a spacious area of over 6,000m2, Thien Lam Pagoda is a must-visit on any journey through Tay Ninh. Thien Lam Pagoda, also known as Go Ken Pagoda, is over 100 years old and houses two colossal Buddha statues: a 25m-tall Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara standing on a 7m-tall dragon, and a 25m-long reclining Buddha entering nirvana.

The pagoda was built on a high mound covered with 'ken' vines. From then on, locals called Thien Lam Pagoda 'Go Ken Pagoda,' and that name persists to this day, even though the 'ken' vines are no longer present.
Welcoming visitors and Buddhists with its lush green spaces, Thien Lam Pagoda offers a sense of peace and tranquility, thanks to the harmonious blend of a serene yet expansive atmosphere with meticulously crafted Buddhist structures. These include the Tam Quan gate, the shrine to Maitreya Buddha, the Lumbini Garden, the Five Elements Mountain, and the nine-story Sarira Stupa, among others.
Tay Ninh Holy See
Tay Ninh is also known as a holy land, considered the birthplace of Caodaism in Vietnam, home to its iconic structure – the Cao Dai Holy See. Built over 100 years ago, the Cao Dai Holy See is a unique, magnificent, and splendid architectural masterpiece, blending European and Asian styles. It is also a structure that seems almost untouched by time, as even after more than a century, every architectural detail retains its timeless beauty.

While other structures are designed by architects and built according to blueprints, the Tay Ninh Holy See was constructed by Duc Pham Ho Phap without any reliance on documents or drawings, relying entirely on the workers themselves.
Annually, the Tay Ninh Holy See welcomes thousands of visitors, especially during the two major festivals: the Great Ceremony of Duc Chi Ton's Veneration and the Dieu Tri Cung Feast. Together with the Ba Pagoda complex, the Cao Dai Holy See in Tay Ninh has become a prominent tourist attraction and a leading spiritual destination in Southern Vietnam to this day.
Numerous Famous Historical Sites
In addition to the three renowned spiritual tourism sites mentioned, Tay Ninh is also home to many famous historical relics, notably the Central Office for South Vietnam (located in the Rum Duon forest area, Tan Lap Commune, Tan Bien District). This served as the revolutionary headquarters for Southern Vietnam for a long period, directly guiding and leading the Southern revolution until the complete liberation of the South.

A cluster of statues recreates the activities of revolutionary soldiers inside Kim Quang Cave.
Besides the large meeting hall, Hoang Cam kitchen, and communal dining area, there were also residences and workplaces for Central Office leaders such as Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Vo Van Kiet, and Pham Hung.
The Tua Hai Victory Relic (Tua Hai Hamlet, Dong Khoi Commune, Chau Thanh District) is also a famous destination, marking the Tua Hai victory that initiated the armed 'Dong Khoi' uprising, which went down in history and became a turning point for the Southern revolution.
Captivating Ecotourism
Tay Ninh also offers attractive ecotourism destinations such as Dau Tieng Lake – Vietnam's largest artificial freshwater lake. This spot is particularly popular with young people, offering many exciting experiences amidst picturesque scenery, including camping to watch sunsets and sunrises, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, and exploring islands by canoe.

Ma Thien Lanh Valley is often likened to a mysterious sacred forest in Tay Ninh.
Not far away is Ma Thien Lanh – a valley nestled between three mountains: Ba Den Mountain, Phung Mountain, and Heo Mountain (all part of the Ba Den Mountain complex).
Additionally, Tay Ninh is home to Lo Go - Xa Mat National Park, covering a total area of 18,765 hectares. This transitional ecosystem between the Central Highlands and the Southeast region has been designated for the conservation of many rare species of flora and fauna.

Lo Go Xa Mat National Park is one of Vietnam's important bird areas and boasts high biodiversity value, with a rich community of flora and fauna, making it a top attractive exploration spot in Tay Ninh.
Thanks to its diverse ecosystem and varied terrain, visitors to Lo Go National Park can choose from many exciting activities such as jungle trekking, cross-forest cycling, camping and picnicking at Da Ha stream arch, or exploring Lo Go National Park by boat on the Vam Co Dong River.
